Privacy Policy
The Influence Engine ("TIE," "we," "us"), a Storywork product, helps creators turn their voice into content, a strategy, and a website. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, and billing details when you create an account or subscribe.
- Content you provide — recordings, transcripts, documents, links, past posts, brand assets, and anything you upload so the engine can learn your voice and generate content on your behalf.
- Generated content — the captions, images, personas, strategies, and websites the platform produces for you.
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, device and log data, and cookies used to keep you signed in and improve the product.
How we use your information
- To provide the service — building your Voice Profile, audience personas, content calendar, and website.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions and credits, and provide support.
- To secure, maintain, and improve the platform.
- To communicate with you about your account and, where you've opted in, our newsletter.
AI processing
To generate content, we send relevant inputs to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic and OpenAI) acting as our processors. They process this data to return outputs to you and, under our agreements, do not use your content to train their models. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated output before publishing it.
How we share information
We share data only with service providers who help us run TIE, under contract and only as needed — for example: hosting and database (Railway), file storage (Cloudflare R2), transcription (Deepgram), image generation (OpenAI), payments (Lemon Squeezy), email delivery (Resend), publishing/scheduling (Metricool), and newsletter (Substack). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.
Publishing on your behalf
When you approve content for publishing, you authorize us to send it to the social platforms and services you've connected. Those platforms handle the published content under their own terms and privacy policies.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see "Your rights").
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, access controls, private storage with signed URLs, and secret management. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email lauren@storywork.co.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences, and limited analytics to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
TIE is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
International users
We operate from the United States. If you access TIE from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you.
